Setting up a one time passcode (OTP) using SMS
- Firstly, login to your Esendex account.
- Select your country using the top drop-down menu.
- Enter your phone number.
- Then click the purple button at the bottom.
- Your number is now registered against your account and will receive future “one time passcodes”.
- You will now receive a six digit code via SMS to the number that you submitted.
- Enter the six digit code in the box provided.
- Then click on the purple button.
- You should then be presented with your recovery code.
- Please safely store this recovery code. (You will use this code to sign in if you do not have your mobile device handy)
- Once safely recorded, click the “I have safely recorded this code” checkbox.
- Then click on the purple button.
- Congratulations, you are all set. In the future when logging in, you will need your mobile device handy.
- Click on the “Continue” button and you’ll be redirected to your Esendex account.
Setting up a one time passcode (OTP) using an authenticator app
- Firstly, login to your Esendex account.
- Then select “I’d rather use Google Authenticator” which is in blue text.
- You’ll then be presented with a QR code.
- Scan this QR code with your authenticator app.
- You’ll then get a one time passcode.
- Enter this code into the box provided.
- Click the purple button at the bottom.
- You should then be presented with your recovery code.
- Please safely store this recovery code. (You will use this code to sign in if you do not have your app handy)
- Once safely recorded, click the “I have safely recorded this code” checkbox.
- Then click on the purple button.
- Congratulations, you are all set. In the future when logging in, you will need your device and app handy.
- Click on the “Continue” button and you’ll be redirected to your Esendex account.
Resetting your Esendex password
- Firstly, login to your account.
- Then select your name in the top right.
- This will open your administration section.
- Scroll down to the “Reset web password” section.
- Click the green “Send Instructions” button.
- You will then receive an email with a link to reset your password.
- Click on the email link.
- Enter your new password and press save.
- Congratulations, you now can use your new password.
Esendex strengthened password rules
Esendex passwords must :
- Be at least 12 characters in length
- Contain at least 3 of the following 4 types of characters:
- Have lower case letters (i.e a-z)
- Have upper case letters (i.e A-Z)
- Include numbers (i.e 0-9)
- Have special characters (e.g !@#$%~*)
- Not have more than 2 identical characters in a row (e.g “aaa” isn’t allowed)
